January 10, 2012
The Monthly Town Board meeting was called to order on Tuesday, January 10,
2012, at 7 p.m. by Chairman Tim Fletcher. The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
Present were Tim Fletcher, Bob Young, Jerry Beier, Phil Waldvogel, Harold
Nitschke, Dale Braunschweig, David Otto, Vicki Baum, Ross Kittell, Charles Grebel,
Duane Kienast, Ray Butterbrodt, Lavern Pieper, Earl Kluz, Randy Schwark, Merlin
Pieper, Ron Woock, Debra Waldvogel, and Paul Budzinski, Dan Mueller, and Matt
Matousek from Northeast Asphalt.
The minutes of the December meeting were read by the Clerk. A motion was
made by Beier and seconded by Young to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Chairman Fletcher read the meeting notice.
First on the agenda was the yearly Northeast Asphalt report. The Conditional Use
Permit is up for renewal this year. The company wanted to know if the Town would be
willing to change the annual corporate donation to the CPI rate instead of the flat five
percent increase.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Beier to change the Northeast
Asphalt annual corporate contribution from five to four percent. Motion carried.
Since Northeast has a reclamation bond as required by the County and has one for
the Town of Burnett as well, They were wondering if they still needed to have a bond for
the Town. Chairman Fletcher will check with the Wisconsin Towns Association about
the reclamation bond.
A motion was made by Beier and seconded by Young to renew the Northeast
Asphalt Conditional Use Permit for another five years. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Beier and seconded by Young to accept the Treasurer’s
report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Beier to pay all bills as presented
Ck#23727 through Ck#23759 for a total of $495,429.47. Motion carried.
Supervisors Young and Beier examined the cancelled checks and compared them
to the December bank statement.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Beier to adjourn at 8:40 p.m.
Motion carried.
